Senior Financial Accountant

Within the (Global) Financial Shared Service Center we are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to support the business partner in analysing and understanding monthly results and other financial reports. You will become part of the local team in Helmond, the Netherlands. Will you join us in our mission to drive the future of mobility together?
Your responsibilities
As our Senior Financial Accountant you will responsible for an accurate and timely completion of Financial Accounting activities, including general ledger accounting, fixed assets accounting, inventory management accounting, intercompany accounting and the period end close. Furthermore, you are responsible for the preparation of all statutory audit documents and you will be responsible for statutory submissions (VAT; EU sales; local statistics).
In addition, you will also deliver input and output to the support the business partner. You will also drive efficiencies, aimed at improvements proactively and mentor accountants and support staff. You will review the period end closing activities by the financial accountants and perform the more complicated period end closing activities. On top of that, you will perform period end closing activities for the more difficult companies (e.g. Center of Competence, Holding) and discuss with the team lead Financial Accounting.
Your qualifications
You are an analytical thinker, precise, accurate, and able to commit to deadlines. You are customer oriented and have excellent communication skills. Assertiveness comes naturally to you, you can work proactively and independently. You are eager to learn and further develop your skills, as well as improve the department where you can.
In addition, you match the following criteria:
- Have a relevant bachelor’s degree and 4 years of work experience in an International Financial Accounting role.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, knowledge of IFRS standards is a must.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) and German is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Knowledge of ERP accounting systems.
- Experience in a complex production environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of Champions (ERP, KPI, Tax etc.)
- Are living within a commuting distance from Helmond (remote work is possible 1 to 2 days a week).
