We are currently looking for a Tax Manager located at our headquarters who will directly report to the CFO. You are supported by a Senior Tax Specialist in Germany and work together with business partners, external advisors, the Financial Shared Service Center and Center of Excellence. It is a broad tax position in which you will support the company on national and international tax matters. You work for 20+ legal entities and 11 countries. As a Tax Manager, you will be eager to take part in all kinds of tax projects, amongst others direct tax and indirect tax, tax compliance, transfer pricing, withholding tax, tax audits and tax accounting.

Your responsibilities
  • Responsible for all tax related matters of the Group;
  • Focus on Corporate Income Tax and Value Added Tax in Europe;
  • Analyze and delivery of solutions with external tax advisors for global and trans-regional tax developments such at DAC6, ATAD, BEPS (Pillar 1 and 2).
  • Liaise with financial colleagues of group companies. Proactively identify risks and opportunities, monitor and report tax positions;
  • Managing and assisting with preparation of tax returns (Corporate Income Tax, WHT) of group companies;
  • Ensure that all the tax obligations are met;
  • Assist in transfer pricing analyses and support annual transfer pricing documentation cycle;
  • Ensuring the optimization of VAT compliance activities;
  • Support group companies in case of tax audits;
  • Support in testing and maintaining the tax control framework;
  • Support Business Partners on tax aspects of the business (incl. tax accounting) and provide training to colleagues in the finance department and elsewhere in the organization;
  • Support Financial Shared Service Center and Center of Excellence on tax matters;
  • Liaise with external tax advisors on all topics mentioned above.
Your qualifications
  • Master’s degree in tax law or tax economics or equivalent work experience;
  • At least 8-10 years of relevant international tax experience, preferably in a production environment or within tax consultancy;
  • Ability to analyze data and develop solutions to problems (strategic thinking skills and out-of-the-box solutions);
  • Hands-on approach; open to be involved in compliance work when necessary;
  • Broad tax interest and eager to learn more about other taxes than only VAT and Corporate income tax;
  • Ability to coordinate international tax projects;
  • Solid understanding of tax accounting principles is considered a benefit;
  • Pro-active, international focus, hands-on, flexible and a self-starter;
  • Strong communication skills and team player;
  • NOB Education/registration is considered an advantage;
  • Full-time availability or at least 4 working days;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, with preferably basic knowledge of the German language.
