Within the (Global) Financial Shared Service Center we are looking for a Financial Accountant to support the Senior Financial Accountants with their work and assist in improving processes where necessary. You will become part of the local team in Helmond, the Netherlands. Will you join us in our mission to drive the future of mobility together?

Your responsibilities

As our Financial Accountant you will support the Senior Financial Accountants with their responsibilities. You will be responsible for an accurate and timely completion of Financial Accounting activities. 

In addition, you will drive efficiencies, aimed at improvements proactively. You perform general ledger activities, such as performing journal entries, back account and balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and provisions. You will also perform intercompany accounting, period end closing activities, financial and management reporting activities, for the Netherlands. You are also able to jump in during ad-hoc situations, showing a proactive attitude. You will also be able to partake in improvement projects to help further enhance efficiency.

As a Financial Accountant you will work closely with all the Senior Financial Accountants. They will share their responsibilities and knowledge with you. This will allow you the opportunity to further improve and develop your financing skills and knowledge. 

Your qualifications

You are an analytical thinker, precise, accurate, and able to commit to deadlines. You are customer oriented and have excellent communication skills. Assertiveness comes naturally to you, you can work proactively and independently. You are eager to learn and develop your skills, as well as improve the department where you can. 

In addition, you match the following criteria: 

  • Have a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Preferably 2-3 years of relevant work experience, including internships. 
  • Experience with debit/credit activities. 
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and German is a plus. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Knowledge of ERP accounting systems is a plus. 
  • Experience in a complex production environment is a plus. 
  • Are living within a commuting distance from Helmond (remote work is possible 1 to 2 days a week).
